Women experience sexual harassment in many places, including the workplace, like government organisations, private sector organisations, hospitals and nursing homes and sports facilities, and it also happens in schools, public spaces and online. Sexual harassment can occur in a variety of non-office contexts, such as corridors and talks that take place after hours. Sexual harassment comes in various forms; it can be verbal, non-verbal, physical and visual sexual harassment. There are laws for the protection of women from sexual harassment, but it is still happening. INTRODUCTION

Sexual harassment is one of the major problems faced by society. There are laws to protect women from sexual harassment, but it is still happening. Sexual harassment is another form of sex discrimination. Sexual harassment is unwanted sexually suggestive verbal, physical or nonverbal behaviour that compromises someone’s dignity. Requests for sexual favors, unwanted sexual approaches and other rude or frightening conduct are examples of it. The places where men predominate in leadership roles and vocations or occupations are viewed as unusual for women had higher instances of sexual harassment against women. Women experience sexual harassment in places like government organisations, private sector organisations, hospitals and nursing homes and sports facilities, and it also happens in schools, public spaces and online. Sexual harassment inthe workplace is apparent when an employee or prospective employee is urged to engage in sexual actions or is threatened with sexual exploitation. It occurs at the workplace when being selected for the job or when it starts to be taken into account when determining the course of her employment career. In society, sexual harassment inthe workplace remains a major, pervasive and troublingly unresolved problem in virtually every sector of the economy.
