Abstract
The development and protection of intellectual property rights (IPRs) within the fintech sector have been impacted by globalization. On the one hand, it has given fintech businesses new opportunities for innovation and market expansion.
Globalization has its challenges, one of which is that it makes it simpler for rivals to copy and disseminate fintech goods and services without authorization. This is mostly because of the characteristics of these services, which allow for simple cross-border transmission.
The article contends that the creation and protection of fintech IPRs face both opportunities and challenges as a result of globalization. In addition to the difficulty of enforcing IPRs in foreign jurisdictions, some of the difficulties include the ease with which fintech goods and services can be duplicated and spread without permission. Globalization does, however, give fintech businesses the chance to grow into new markets and draw in capital and talent from all around the world. In a globalized world, governments also play a part in fostering innovation in the fintech sector and safeguarding fintech intellectual property rights.
